Day 1: Colombo

  • Arrive in Sri Lanka and meet our representative at the airport.
  • Transfer to your hotel in Colombo and check-in.

Day 2: Colombo → Kandy (via Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage)

  • Morning after breakfast, depart from Colombo to Kandy (approx. 95 km, 2 hrs 30 mins drive).
  • Enroute visit Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage (established in 1975 to care for abandoned and injured elephants).
  • See over 65 elephants, including baby elephants born through the captive breeding program.
  • Best time to visit:
    • Feeding time: 09:30 – 10:00 hrs & 13:30 – 14:00 hrs
    • Bathing time: 10:00 – 10:30 hrs & 14:00 – 14:30 hrs (at the nearby river)
  • Experience the unique opportunity to watch elephants being fed and bathed.
  • Continue journey to Kandy and reach by afternoon.
  • Check-in at the hotel and relax.

Day 3: Kandy

  • Breakfast at the hotel.
  • Proceed for sightseeing in Kandy, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the last royal capital of Sri Lanka.
  • Visit the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic (Dalada Maligawa):
    • One of the most sacred sites for Buddhists worldwide.
    • Houses the sacred Tooth Relic of Lord Buddha, brought to Sri Lanka in the 4th century A.D.

  • Explore the Royal Botanical Gardens, Peradeniya:

Day 4: Kandy → Nuwara Eliya

  • Explore Nuwara Eliya, known as the “Little England” of Sri Lanka:
    • Picturesque landscapes with mountains, valleys, waterfalls, and tea plantations.
    • Cool climate, reminiscent of an English spring day.
    • British influences seen in architecture such as country cottages and Queen Anne-style mansions.
    • Stroll through Victoria Park, a beautiful spot for walks and picnics.
    • Experience seasonal blooms in spring (March–May) and autumn (August–September).
  • Visit Ramboda Falls, a stunning natural waterfall on the way.
  • Tour a Tea Factory & Tea Garden:
    • Learn about the traditional tea-making process.
    • See withering, rolling, fermenting, drying, and grading of tea leaves.
    • Understand the importance of careful processing in producing high-quality tea.

Day 5: Nuwara Eliya – Ella (Day Excursion)

  • Breakfast at the hotel.
  • Proceed for a full-day excursion to Ella.
  • Highlights of the day:
    • Ravana Falls – A spectacular 1080 ft high waterfall cascading into several falls.
      • Formed from the Kirindi Oya stream, plunging with foaming spray.

  • Return to Nuwara Eliya and rest at the hotel.

Day 6: Nuwara Eliya → Bentota

  • Breakfast at the hotel.
  • At 8:00 AM, proceed to Bentota via Kithulgala.
  • En route visit:
    • St. Clair’s Falls – One of the widest waterfalls in Sri Lanka, often called the "Little Niagara of Sri Lanka". It consists of two falls, Maha Ella & Kuda Ella, and is ranked as the 20th highest waterfall in the country.
    • Devon Falls – A stunning 97-meter-high waterfall, situated 6 km west of Talawakele on the A7 highway, ranked as the 19th highest in Sri Lanka.
  • Continue the scenic drive to Bentota.
  • Check in at the hotel and rest.

Day 7: Bentota

  • Breakfast at the hotel.
  • Full day in Bentota, one of Sri Lanka’s most famous beach resorts.
  • Highlights of the day:
    • Beach Activities – Enjoy swimming, body-surfing, diving, jet-skiing, windsurfing, and parasailing.
    • River Safari – Experience a romantic boat ride along the lagoon and river surrounded by tropical greenery.
    • Turtle Farm Hatchery – Visit a conservation project dedicated to protecting endangered sea turtles.
    • Mangrove Boat Ride – Explore the lush mangrove ecosystems along the riverbanks.

Day 8: Bentota → Negombo Airport (Departure)

  • Check out from the hotel in Bentota.
  • Drive to Negombo Airport (Approx. 110 Kms, 2 Hrs).
  • Depending on flight schedule:
    • Free time for last-minute shopping or leisure.
    • Optional short stop in Negombo – a coastal town known for its fishing village, sandy beaches, and lagoon.
  • Drop off at Bandaranaike International Airport for departure.
